Woman’s History Month: Past and Present

WE look forward to March for a few reasons: (hopefully) the weather starts warming, Daylight Savings starts, and it is Women’s History Month. Last year we celebrated with the Women’s History Scavenger Hunt which was a lot of fun. Did you miss it? Why not DIY this spring with friends using the original manifest?

Or consider making your own route that hits some of the 21 stops on the Women’s eNews Women’s History Walk, which tells the story of women in NYC’s history that Rebelled for All, Led the Battles, and Insisted on Better Futures. Indeed, our present times have called many of us (back) into activism, insisting on a better future.

WE are inspired by the women who continue to make history in the city and WE are proud to be a part of NYC’s diverse community of organizations focused on women and cycling and breaking down barriers to cycling. Later this month we’ll be gathering at Williamsburg’s new Sun And Air bike shop with other groups for a social meet and greet type thing and we’d love to have you join us!
