WE Ride
WE Ride is WE Bike NYC’s general programming. This includes events that WE host all over New York City like Social Rides, Workshops, Meetups, Training Rides, and Happy Hours
Field Trips
WE Bike NYC field trips aim at opening up the cycling community to newcomers and long-time riders alike. Field trips have included a tour of 5 local frame-builder studios, a women’s only track clinic where bikes were provided, and riding tandem bikes with Achilles visually impaired riders.
Educational Workshops
WE Bike NYC workshops are a bit different from other workshops- our goal is to help you learn how to fix your bike in a situation where you might be! We will teach you how to fix a flat along the west side highway, and how to make that crazy chain noise stop in Prospect Park. We’ll also give you tips just for women and help you prepare your bike for sun, rain, sleet and snow to make sure you can ride when you want to!
Training Rides
WE Bike NYC has led a group in the 5 Boro Bike Tour, the Tour de Staten Island, Tour de Queens, Tour de Bronx, Tour de Brooklyn and the NYC Century. Training rides are open to all WE Bike riders, even if you are not participating in a bigger ride.
Social Rides
Social rides are to just have FUN! No one is ever left behind and there is usually food of some sort. Past rides destinations have included Peter Pan Donuts, Jacob Riis Beach, the New York Botanical Garden, and many others. Our fall hot chocolate ride brought people together and created a safe space to get used to riding in the city and meet some new people. Our Intro to 9W rides have helped participants tackle a challenging ride with a supportive community.
